Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, during his visit to Slovakia, met with State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense Igor Melicher.
Melicher congratulated Grigoryan on the occasion of initialing the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, stating that peace will have a positive impact on countries in the region and beyond, Grigoryan’s office said in a press release.
Grigoryan presented the details about the Washington accords, the economic opportunities and Armenia’s efforts toward achieving lasting peace in the region.
The Armenia-Slovakia bilateral ties were also discussed. The officials highlighted willingness to efficiently utilize the significant potential for developing cooperation between the two countries. Melicher expressed Slovakia’s support for stronger Armenia-EU partnership.
