Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Vice President of China Han Zheng in Beijing.
Vice President Zheng welcomed PM Pashinyan’s visit to China and his participation in the SCO summit in Tianjin and the parade in Beijing, Pashinyan’s office said in a press release.
He said that the establishment of the Strategic Partnership between Armenia and China, which will contribute to the development and expansion of cooperation in all areas, is the result of the productive meeting between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President of China Xi Jinping.
Vice President Zheng said that China highly values the establishment of the Strategic Partnership with Armenia and that the Prime Minister’s visit has crucial importance in that context.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed gratitude for the invitation and warm reception, emphasizing that his visit to China holds important significance for Armenia.
He said that as a result of the visit the relationship between Armenia and China has been elevated to the level of a Strategic Partnership, which opens new opportunities for further advancement and expansion of ties. Pashinyan stated that the cooperation has been developing in the political, economic and cultural areas in the recent years, and the ties between the peoples have been growing stronger. He said that the great affinity between the two peoples is a strong foundation for advancing comprehensive cooperation.
Pashinyan and Vice President Zheng exchanged views around several issues of international significance and expressed confidence that the Armenia-China cooperation will develop both bilaterally and multilaterally.
