Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of Security Council of Armenia, met with Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during his working visit to Tehran. Armenia's Security Council reports this.
The parties noted with satisfaction the institutional ties formed between the offices of the Security Council and expressed confidence in their continuous strengthening and development.
The meeting discussed the latest regional developments, in the context of which Grigoryan presented the agreements signed on August 8 and noted that the process of unblocking the economic infrastructure of the region will take place exclusively within the framework of full respect for the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, inviolability of borders and reciprocity of the countries.
Larijani welcomed the agreements aimed at establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of ensuring stability and security in the South Caucasus.
The bilateral agenda between Armenia and Iran was touched upon, emphasizing the need to strengthen economic cooperation.
