Israel has launched new airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, killing about two dozen people. The death toll in the past 24 hours has exceeded 70. UN organizations have officially declared a famine in Gaza, although Israel denies this.
The Israeli Defense Minister had earlier announced that the authorities had approved plans to crush Hamas in Gaza. Israel Katz had noted that the gates of hell would open for Hamas if the movement did not agree to Israel's conditions for ending the war, first of all, the return of all hostages and the disarmament of the movement.
Hamas has announced that it is ready to release the hostages in exchange for ending the war, but has refused to disarm without the creation of a Palestinian state.
Against the background of these events, the Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp resigned. The reason is that he was unable to get the support of the cabinet to impose additional sanctions against Israel over the war in Gaza. His fellow ministers and state secretaries also resigned with him.
