The set of trilateral agreements between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia remains relevant. None of the parties has withdrawn from them. We are ready to continue supporting our partners in all directions of Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization, as has been repeatedly stated by both the Ministry and the country’s leadership.
This was stated by Alexey Fadeyev, Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a briefing in response to a question about the relevance of the agreements concerning the unblocking of communications by Russia.
According to him, "Everything is clearly outlined in Maria Zakharova’s statement, and we base our position on that."
Russia has said it will look into the details of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, or TRIPP, which is envisaged under the Armenian-Azerbaijani accords signed in Washington.
“Regarding the Trump route, the Russian foreign ministry will study the details of the project, which, by the way, haven’t been disclosed yet,” Deputy Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Department Alexey Fadeyev said at a press briefing, according to Kommersant newspaper. “Like we’ve said earlier, the engagement of extra-regional forces in the South Caucasus ought to advance the peace agenda and not create new issues and dividing lines.”
He said that Armenia’s membership to the Eurasian Economic Union and the presence of Russian border guards in the Syunik province must be taken into account in the context of the project.
Under the Washington accords signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia will work with the United States of America and mutually determined third parties, to set forth a framework for the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) connectivity project.
