The level of trust between Armenia and Azerbaijan should increase. Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a press conference in Washington.
“I believe that the signing of the joint declaration between Armenia, Azerbaijan and the United States of America should open the opportunity to discuss and resolve many issues in a bilateral format.
We will work in that direction. Our agenda is actually very broad. We must continue consultations on the signing and ratification of the peace agreement. There are also many issues that we can discuss. The Washington meeting does not mean the cessation of work in a bilateral format or a transformation of the bilateral format. In essence, today’s event is one of the expressions of bilateral work, and I am confident that we will continue our work in a bilateral format,” Armenia's Prime Minister said.
The head of government also emphasized that the Peace Agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan was initialed on August 8, which means that the parties have officially and in writing recorded that this document is acceptable to them and, in fact, is already unchangeable. Now we need to work on the next stage in order to sign it.
