The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan, who is on a working visit to France, met with the President of the Senate of the Republic of France Gérard Larcher. Alen Simonyan thanked France for its unwavering support in the protection of Armenia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, economic development, and strengthening of resistance, noting that Armenia highly appreciates the steps of fraternal France.
Gérard Larcher, in turn, reaffirmed France's readiness to continue supporting Armenia.
The interlocutors' discussions focused on issues related to Armenia-France, Armenia-EU relations, and the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia. Separate attention was also paid to the regional situation and the need to sign a Peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
