US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce addressed Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s announcement of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan during a press conference on July 8.
“Well, that’s a good question, and we’ll have some of that for you, but it was important enough, of course, for him to mention. And we’re excited about the multitude of arrangements and ceasefires and changes that we’ve been able to be involved in. The Secretary noted that for a reason, and when we have some more details for you I’ll get it to you,” Bruce said.
In this way, she answered the question of whether the United States is actively involved in the processes between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and what makes the US Secretary of State believe that there will be a positive outcome to these processes.
Tammy Bruce emphasized that it was important for the Secretary of State to make that statement.
