US President Donald Trump told reporters early on Friday (July 4) he is disappointed in Russian President Vladimir Putin and does not think Putin will stop the war in Ukraine, Reuters reports.
Trump also said he will speak to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Friday.
"I’m speaking to (Ukrainian) President (Volodymyr) Zelenskiy tomorrow early in the morning. And you know, I am very disappointed with the conversation I had today with (Russian) President (Vladimir) Putin because I don't think he's there. I don't think he's there. And I'm very disappointed. Well, I'm just saying I don't think he's looking to stop and that’s too bad," Trump said.
Earlier on Thursday (July 3), Trump said that a phone call Putin resulted in no progress at all on efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
