Baku and Yerevan are closer than ever to signing a peace treaty, said Elchin Amirbekov, the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan.
He once again noted that some provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the mediation mechanisms of the OSCE Minsk Group are allegedly an obstacle to signing a peace treaty.
Amirbekov also emphasized the importance of opening the so-called 'Zangezur Corridor', noting that it will radically change the logistical map of the region and strengthen stability. The representative of the President of Azerbaijan expressed confidence that the signing of the peace treaty will open a new page for the entire South Caucasus.
