A member of Iran's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, said the sixth round of US-Iran nuclear talks will not take place after Israel's strikes on the territory of the Islamic Republic.
"I don't think the sixth round will take place, given what happened," he said on Iranian television.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump expressed hope that Iran would return to the negotiating table despite the Israeli strikes.
On the night of June 12-13, the Israel Defense Forces launched a large-scale operation called 'Rising Lion', within the framework of which military targets and sites of the Iranian nuclear program were hit. Israeli authorities have announced that the operation is aimed at preventing a threat to the existence of the Jewish state, as, according to Israeli intelligence, Iran has quickly approached the "point of no return" of developing nuclear weapons.
