If democracy in Armenia is at risk, all democracy is at risk. This was stated by Gilbert-Luc Dévinaz, Chairman of the France-Armenia Friendship Group of the French Senate, during the 5th Armenia-France Forum on Decentralized Cooperation.
“It is not only Armenia that is at risk, but the entire regime. All democracy is at risk if it is at risk in Armenia. This is my message: not to miss anything, to be firm and to move forward,” said Gilbert-Luc Dévinaz.
During the forum, French Ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies in turn, stated that Armenia is a topic of consensus in France.
“The French do not have differences of opinion even in the political arena on issues related to Armenia, and everyone, driven by humanistic motives, comes to a common denominator, because this helps local authorities both in Armenia and in France,” said the Ambassador.
