Armenia's Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Armenia, Giorgi Sharvashidze, the ministry has said in a readout.
Minister Hayrapetyan emphasized the historical ties and friendship between the peoples of the two countries and highlighted the importance of bilateral relations and cooperation, particularly in the fields of communication, telecommunications and technology.
Ambassador Sharvashidze, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and presented the priorities and vision of Georgia’s high-tech sector policy. In this context, he stressed the importance of expanding and deepening cooperation with Armenia.
The two sides discussed the possibility of organizing regional technology events and conferences, implementing joint programs and initiatives to support the development of the technology startup ecosystem, and fostering cooperation between technology parks and incubators that promote startups and innovation in both countries.
Other issues of mutual interest were also addressed.
