President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has addressed a message to the Armenian community of Turkey.
"I share the pain experienced by the Armenian community in the past. At the same time, we believe that the memories of the past should not imprison the present and the future. Those who try to stir up enmity and undermine the strong bridges and ties built between us have not achieved their goals," said the Turkish President.
Erdoğan added that the peace, security, and well-being of Armenians, who have made valuable contributions to Turkey’s cultural, political, economic, educational, and social life, as well as of others, are a priority for Ankara.
