"Is genocide now considered a past issue in Armenia-Turkey relations? Armenia used to pursue a policy of having the genocide recognized by the parliaments of different countries. Can we say that this policy is no longer being implemented?", a Turkish journalist asked Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"The international recognition of the Armenian Genocide is not among our foreign policy priorities-this is the official formulation. However, in this context, there are issues that need to be clarified, which are very significant and important. I frequently discuss these matters in a working format, both in Armenia and in conversations with our compatriots abroad. This is a good opportunity to speak about them publicly as well. Discussions and speculations on these topics take place in Armenia and beyond; there is talk about denial, about denying or forgetting the Armenian Genocide. I want to make it very clear that in Armenia and among Armenians, it is an undeniable truth. In our reality, it is simply impossible to deny or reject it-it is an indisputable truth for all of us," Pashinyan said.
