Donald Trump, who won the US presidential election, wants to organize negotiations between Russia and Ukraine on the first day of his new presidential term. This was reported by Trump's Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Trump previously promised that he would be able to reach a negotiated settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. He has repeatedly stated that he can resolve the conflict in Ukraine in one day, reports ABC News.
Trump's spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that Trump will now be able to "negotiate a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine."
"That includes bringing Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table on the very first day to end that war," Leavitt said.
