The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Yerevan and the Consulate General in Gyumri are in contact with Armenia's Foreign Ministry, Lori, Tavush, Shirak provinces regarding the provision of additional assistance after the flood. This was announced by Maria Zakharova, Official Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"We sincerely offer our condolences to the fraternal Armenian people in connection with the natural disaster that has befallen the republic, we wish the victims a speedy recovery," he said.
Zakharova clarified that the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center handed over the motor pumps used in search and rescue and emergency recovery works to the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia. 50 units of equipment were involved in the works in Lori and Tavush provinces.
