Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili departed for Baku, Azerbaijan, at the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev, Georgian Public Broadcaster reports.
On November 24, the Georgian PM will attend the Baku Economic Forum of the United Nations Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) as an Honourable Guest.
The PM will deliver a speech at the Summit of Heads of State scheduled within the scope of the forum. He will also meet Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
This year’s forum, chaired by Azerbaijan, marks the SPECA’s 25th anniversary.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili.
Aliyev also met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The Prime Minister of Hungary expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the summit as an honored guest. He conveyed the best wishes and congratulations of the Hungarian people to Aliyev. Orban thanked Azerbaijan for bringing Hungary closer to the Turkish family and developing relations with the Organization of Turkic States.
