The first Tabriz-Yerevan flight landed at Tabriz International Airport this afternoon, Thursday, and an hour later returned to Yerevan full of passengers, Infoteka 24 reports.
Director General of Eastern Azerbaijan Airports Ramin Azari told IRNA on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of this line of foreign flights at Tabriz airport:
“This is the third international line of this airport, which was opened today by transporting 46 passengers from Yerevan to Tabriz,” Azari said.
He stated, that the Armenia Airways flight also carried 97 passengers from Tabriz to Yerevan. Flights Tabriz-Yerevan and back have a capacity of 110 passengers and are carried out twice a week - on Mondays and Thursdays.
He added that Tabriz International Airport is the main terminal in northwestern Iran, serving 11 cities in the country and three cities abroad, including Istanbul, Izmir and Yerevan.
