On August 1, the Armenian community representatives, about 500 participants from various organizations, held a political action in front of the office of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Talking to 1lurer.am, Azat Ordukhanyan, President of the Union of Armenian Academicians of Germany, said that their aim is to raise the alarm that hostilities which had been provoked by Azerbaijan on the border with Armenia, now rapidly moves to the Armenian community in Germany, as well as to major European northern cities.
"We had to show up and raise our voice so that the German authorities and relevant bodies would react quickly and pay attention to the transfer of terrorist acts of war to European centers", Ordukhanyan said.
At the end of the rally, a letter was handed to the representatives of the German Chancellor. Ordukhanyan said that the letter contained all the press releases published by the organizations on the topic.
