The Parliament discusses the bill to ratify the agreement signed between the governments of Armenia and Denmark on visa facilitation. Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts has mentioned that in 2012, the Kingdom of Denmark did not sign the agreement of visa facilitation between Armenian and the European Union, thus the agreement did not apply to the visa issue proceedings in Denmark diplomiatc missions and consulates.
The parties decided to sign a bilateral agreement to facilitate short-term visa issuing, which was signed in 2018.
Adonts highlighted that Denmark citizens have a free entrance to Armenia. The agreement envisages facilitating the visa issuing to Armenian nationals for entrance to the territory of Denmark and other Schengen zone member states for a period of 180 days and for a visit not exceeding 90 days. The agreement provides no-visa regime for Armenian national with diplomatic passports.
