Free Motherland Party held its 7th assembly in Shushi on November 10.
After Arayik Harutyunyan was reelected as the party’s president, the participants of the assembly discussed the issue of submitting a candidate for the 2020 presidential election of the Artsakh Republic. The participants unanimously chose Arayik Harutyunyan.
Harutyunyan mentioned in his speech that the trust of the party members is a great responsibility. “I reserve the right to accept the will of the party. I reserve the right first of all because I have been the Prime Minister and the State Minister of Artsakh for around a decade, I have experience of holding the office and I have achieved certain success, I clearly see the challenges arisen before our state and the ways of overcoming them. Moreover, considering that I have the support of a political team that has received the vote of the people and has serious political and professional experience, I am ready to assume the responsibility to serve the citizens of Artsakh,” said Harutyunyan.
The president of Free Homeland reconfirmed that they intended to solve systematic problems instead of leaving them to the future generations.
“We are coming to change people’s lives instead of talking about the need to change it. We are coming to contribute to the creative self-realization of Artsakh citizens, no matter if they are in the military, in the agriculture, if they are a worker or a teacher. We will guarantee the dignified existence of the working person instead of adding to the load,” added Harutyunyan.
