The Assembly also started collecting signatures to give a vote of no confidence to Agramunt.
Pedro Agramunt was voted out of EPP. At the beginning of the session he announced that he would not resign, but neither would enter the hall and preside over the session. Today he wrote a letter to EPP, the biggest political group, claiming that his rights had been violated. After an hour of fervent discussion, EPP first voted on appropriateness of voting. The MPs agreed to vote for removing Agramunt, then voted him out of EPP with 30 for, zero against and three abstaining. Incidentally, the Assembly also started collecting signatures to give a vote of no confidence to Agramunt. The law requires the signatures of the two third of the total number of MPs for the issue to enter the agenda. At the moment 130 assembly members have signed. The collection of signatures continues.
