14-year old Astghik’s formula of love was to never stop believing in miracles and never to give up. She had been diagnosed with osteosarcoma – a kind of bone cancer. Despite the danger of losing a leg, Astghik never gave up her dreams to become dancer, as she believed miracles do happen. She urgently needed an implant for her miracle to come true, otherwise there would be no alternative to amputation, once she received chemotherapy.
We are happy to inform you today, thanks to donations on behalf of TV viewers within the framework of First Channel program “If All” and support from caring people and organizations, Astghik’s recovery became possible. Not only did doctors keep her leg, but also she can already walk easily today.
Several months have passed since the launch of “If All” program, however, throughout this period consolidation of caring people contributed to providing full life to a number of children, among them Mane Harutyunyan (deaf from birth), Hayk Yeghiazaryan (multicomponent brain tumor) and Pavel Khachatryan (Juvenile idiopathic arthritis). Each of them has received the funds necessary for their treatment, and most importantly – large portion of care from the society.
The list of patients continues to replenish with new names.
“If All” TV project aims to change public attitude towards the families and their children living among us, yet being out of phase of our reality.
During each broadcast the program presents a single child’s destiny, and the proceeds raised from fundraising are then directed to their treatment.
