Goris is the third Armenian city after Yerevan and Echmiadzin to become a member of UNESCO "World Heritage Cities" organization.
The certificate of the membership, the code of the organization and the flag was ceremonially presented to the Mayor of Goris by Prof. Azat Vartanian, the president of International Informatization Academy in Canada.
About 250 cities are member of the organization including Paris, Vienna, Stockholm, and Moscow.
