Tourism in our country is experiencing a boom, without exaggeration, as we are recording double-digit growth in the sector. As of now, we have achieved an all-time record for the January–May period. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during the discussion of the annual report on the implementation of the 2025 state budget at the National Assembly.
“I would also like to mention this in the context of food exports and exports in general, because products consumed by tourists are also being exported. Essentially, there is no significant difference between a product being consumed in the tourist’s country of citizenship or in the Republic of Armenia.
I believe that, on the contrary, the consumption of Armenian products expands even further, because the availability of Armenian goods is limited in those countries, whereas here it is significantly broader. I am very pleased that the Republic of Armenia continues its development as an attractive tourism destination.
This is also linked to peace and internal security, and we have implemented substantial institutional reforms, including measures aimed at increasing the level of internal security,” he said.
