There has always been a special connection between Armenia and Europe. Our ties stem from myths and ancient civilizations. But it is not only our shared history and culture that unite us, not only our long-standing links, but also the opportunities that lie ahead-they unite us as well, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said during an expanded meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and European Council President António Costa.
“Indeed, Armenia and the European Union are closer than ever. We are making good progress toward visa-free travel, while also ensuring investment flows between the EU and Armenia. A total of €2.5 billion has already been allocated under our investment program called ‘Global Gateway,’” she said.
