The United Arab Emirates has reportedly canceled all forms of residency permits for Iranian citizens, including “golden” visas previously granted to investors.
“The UAE swallowed up about $530 billion of Iranian assets with the false promise of ‘99-year residency,’ and now, without the slightest explanation, is unilaterally canceling their residency,” Tehran Times said on its X account.
As of now, UAE authorities have not officially confirmed the report, and no details regarding enforcement or exceptions have been provided.
