President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the results of the work of Ukrainian military experts who have been in Saudi Arabia for more than a week. According to him, the specialists have already presented their first findings and conclusions at both the operational and broader strategic levels.
The main task of the Ukrainian team is to analyze the effectiveness of air defense systems and identify vulnerabilities in protecting the sky. In particular, this involves countering Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones and missile threats. Based on their work, the experts are determining the changes needed to strengthen the protection of civilians and critical infrastructure.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainian specialists have already shared practical experience gained during the full-scale war. In particular, they demonstrated the approaches used in Ukraine to defend cities and infrastructure from aerial attacks. The President stressed that Ukraine’s expertise in air defense is unique and highly sought after by partners.
Key topics discussed include improving methods for detecting and intercepting drones, as well as enhancing coordination between different elements of air defense systems. The Ukrainian side confirmed its readiness for long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation with Saudi Arabia.
The President also thanked the Ukrainian experts for their prompt and thorough work, highlighting their contribution to strengthening international security. According to him, Ukraine is ready to support partners who help it defend its independence and will continue to develop joint initiatives in the field of air defense.
