Armenia's President Vahagn Khachaturyan held a meeting with Iranian Ambassador Khalil Shirgholami. The President extended congratulations to the Iranian people on the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and asked the Ambassador to convey greetings to President Masoud Pezeshkian.
According to a readout from the President’s Office, during the meeting, the President highlighted the importance of activating mutual visits at various levels to make the most effective use of existing opportunities, particularly in the economic and infrastructure sectors. He also “stressed that Armenia highly values the Iranian leadership’s unambiguous stance on Armenia’s territorial integrity and the inviolability of its borders,” according to the readout.
Ambassador Khalil Shirgholami expressed his gratitude for the reception and congratulations, noting the significance of the meeting in terms of mutual respect and cooperation. The discussion also addressed key issues on the Armenia-Iran multi-sectoral cooperation agenda, as well as regional developments.
