U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, who arrived in Armenia on an official visit, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex together with his wife, Usha Vance.
The U.S. vice president was received by Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Edita Gzoyan, Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan, and U.S. Chargé d’Affaires in Armenia David Allen.
J.D. Vance laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. The guests then laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and observed a minute of silence in memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
At the end of the visit, the U.S. the vice president wrote in the museum’s guestbook: “ In solemn remembrance of the lives lost, we honor the resilience and enduring spirit of the Armenian people. May America and Armenia strive for a future of peace and understanding together.”
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and U.S. Vice President James D. Vance have signed a joint statement on the conclusion of negotiations on an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the United States on cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
