The “historic” documents to be signed between Armenia and Kazakhstan include an agreement to elevate the bilateral relationship to a strategic level, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Astana.
Kazakhstan and Armenia are actively cooperating in various fields, and soon, their cooperation will reach a new level, he said.
“We highly appreciate your visit. The initiatives undertaken demonstrate that our friendship is strong. I want to emphasize that there is mutual respect between the peoples of Armenia and Kazakhstan. Our countries have open relations based on mutual trust,” said the President of Kazakhstan.
He emphasized that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries is close both on regional and international platforms. He added that Armenia and Kazakhstan work closely in economic, trade, educational, cultural, and other sectors, and this process is actively developing.
“I want to emphasize that our interstate relations are special, and we have great opportunities to develop our cooperation in a multifaceted way. Today, we will sign historic documents, including one that will elevate the relations between our two countries to a strategic level,” Tokayev added.
