We have verbally invited Aliyev and Erdogan to participate in summit of European Political Community: Mirzoyan

Armenia has invited the leaders of Turkey and Azerbaijan to attend the 8th Summit of the European Political Community next year in Yerevan, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said.

“Yes, we have conveyed invitations,” Mirzoyan told reporters when asked whether representatives of Turkey and Azerbaijan are expected to attend the summit alongside other world leaders. "We haven't sent the [written invitations] yet, but we have verbally invited participation at the highest level.”

Asked to clarify, Mirzoyan said that Armenia has invited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to attend the summit.
