Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan lauded on Monday the “excellent” ties with Iran.
"We have excellent relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran. We are in almost daily contact. The speculations that allegedly the Islamic Republic of Iran is dissatisfied or is preparing to express strong discontent regarding the unblocking of infrastructure are not true," the Foreign Minister said at a parliamentary committee hearing on the 2026 state budget.
The Minister noted that the Armenia-Iran relations are of a strategic nature and this will soon be reflected in the relevant document.
"We have already declared that our relations are strategic. Recently, I gave an example, and I want to repeat it: where have you seen complex relations where the parties agree on establishing a strategic partnership and decide to build a second bridge connecting each other as quickly as possible? This is our and Iran's commitment," Mirzoyan said.
