Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, on Independence Day, which, in particular, states:
“On behalf of the people of Armenia and myself, I extend my warmest congratulations to you and the brotherly people of Cyprus on the 65th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Cyprus. This day symbolizes not only the country’s path to sovereignty and democracy, but is also an occasion to appreciate the determination of the Cypriot people to defend their freedom, dignity and principles.
Our countries and peoples are united by centuries-old friendship, mutual trust and common values. The establishment of resident embassies in Yerevan and Nicosia marks a new and promising stage in bilateral relations, reaffirming our commitment to deepen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
On this significant day, I wish you health and success, continued development and a successful upcoming presidency of the Council of the EU to the Republic of Cyprus, and unity and prosperity to the brotherly people of Cyprus peace."
