During a press briefing held within the framework of the 7th Congress of the Civil Contract Party, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan also addressed relations with Russia.
According to him, there are partners who believe that Russia is waging a hybrid war against Armenia.
“Partners may also have certain grounds, in particular, some Russian TV channels or certain speakers are developing such a narrative, but I do not view Armenia-Russia relations through that logic.
I highly value it. And I state this in all our discussions, including with international partners. I highly value the dialogue we have with the President of Russia, and it is very important. Also with the Chairman of the Government Council of Russia.
It is with this logic of appreciation that we will continue to be guided. And I believe that indeed the transformation taking place is very useful and constructive, because we are discussing in an open, honest, and partner-like atmosphere.
In my opinion, we have found, are finding, and will continue to find solutions to many issues which seemed could create complications,” the Prime Minister noted.
According to him, the personal mutual trust with Russian partners is very significant. At the same time, he mentioned that there are discussions both in society and in political circles, with many partners speaking out clearly, having their own arguments.
“But I consider this a process, part of a transformation. And in my opinion, the positive aspects of this transformation are by far more significant than the negative ones. One of the key messages of today’s address is that I, and we, will focus on the positive and try to develop the positive,” the Prime Minister said.
