Reuters. U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday (September 03) that he has no further message for President Vladimir Putin and awaits a decision as Russia continues to show little interest in ending its war with Ukraine.
"He knows where I stand and he'll make a decision one way or another," he told reporters at the White House. "Whatever his decision is, we'll either be happy about it or unhappy about it and if we're unhappy about it, you'll see things happen," he added.
President Donald Trump also said he thought the military parade in China was a "beautiful ceremony" but added that the U.S. should have been mentioned during a speech.
"I thought it was a beautiful ceremony. I thought it was very, very impressive," Trump said in the Oval office.
"I watched the speech last night. President Xi is a friend of mine, but I thought that the United States should have been mentioned last night during that speech, because we helped China very, very much."
Trump added that U.S. troops will remain in Poland and that he is willing to add more if requested.
Trump spoke to reporters during a meeting with visiting Polish President Karol Nawrocki. While the prospect of a U.S. troop drawdown in Europe has been a recurring topic since the start of Trump's presidency, Trump made clear troops in Poland would stay.
