Former Ambassador of Armenia to the United States Lilit Makunts will be appointed Chief Adviser to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The Prime Minister confirmed the decision during a briefing with journalists today.
By a presidential decree issued on August 27, Makunts was officially recalled from her post in Washington.
Another decree appointed Narek Mkrtchyan as Armenia’s new Ambassador to the United States. Prior to the appointment, Mkrtchyan served as Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.
