At the European Commission’s midday press briefing, Anitta M. Hipper, the lead spokeswoman for Foreign Affairs and Security, emphasized the urgency of humanitarian aid access to Gaza, describing the situation on the ground as "unbearable." She welcomed recent progress between the EU and Israel in improving humanitarian access and conditions, calling it a positive development, while stressing that significant challenges remain.
Regarding reports of a possible expansion of Israel’s military operation in Gaza, Hipper stated the EU is aware of the speculation and reiterated its firm stance against any territorial or demographic changes, reaffirming the EU’s established position on such matters.
