France does not intend to participate in the initiative to transfer US weapons to Ukraine, which will be financed by European countries. This was reported by Politico, citing sources.
The newspaper explains that French President Emmanuel Macron has long advocated that Europeans promote their own defense production by purchasing weapons from European manufacturers.
“Paris will not join the initiative to purchase US weapons for this reason,” the publication writes.
