“I am a member of the Biden administration, and the legal assessment of what happened is being conducted by the U.S. State Department”, USAID Administrator Samantha Power made this statement in response to a question about whether she would call the events in Nagorno-Karabakh ethnic cleansing, considering a year has passed since those events.
"We are aware of the recent reports that have been published, which contain numerous documented pieces of evidence and interviews with a large number of families who have gone through the events of the past years. Unfortunately, I cannot get ahead of the State Department's assessment in this matter," she said.
