On July 9th, the Defence Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mr. Mehdi Sobhani, Armenian ministry reports.
The newly appointed Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the IRI in the RA, Colonel Mohammad Najafi, also participated in the meeting.
Minister Papikyan extended congratulations to the newly appointed Defence Attaché and conveyed his best wishes for success in his pivotal mission.
“Furthermore, Suren Papikyan expressed gratitude to the former Defence Attaché, Colonel Bahman Sadeghin for productive cooperation.
The discussion encompassed topics related to Armenia-Iran defence cooperation and regional security”, the Armenian Defence Ministry said in a statement.
