On April 4-5, the meeting of heads of diplomatic departments of NATO member states will take place in Brussels. One of the main topics of the negotiations will be the provision of new military aid to Ukraine and the development of a multi-year program of support to Kyiv.
At a press conference held in Brussels on Monday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that there is no point in talking about Ukraine's membership in the alliance until it has won a victory in the armed conflict. At the same time, Stoltenberg expressed his intention to provide extensive military support to Kyiv even in case of a cessation of hostilities.
Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba arrived in Brussels to participate in the meeting of NATO foreign ministers. Head of the European Union’s foreign policy service, Josep Borrell, received him.
“We will continue to support Ukraine as much as necessary,” Borrell said, adding that pressure should be put on Russia to force it to stop military operations.
