Our historical ties with Armenia in the Caucasus are well known. Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias stated this during debate in Greek Parliament on 2022 Budget.
“In foreign policy we face the most fluid and ever-changing landscape. We take advantage of every window of opportunity, recognizing the reality, namely that Greece and Cyprus have an expanding neighbor,” Dendias noted, referring to Turkey's policy.
He added that in recent years, this has become clear with the unprecedented challenges in the Aegean, the Evros, Cyprus, the Eastern Mediterranean, and even wider, the Caucasus, Iraq, Syria, and Libya. Ottoman ideologies emerge, the "borders of the Ottoman heart", the ‘Blue Homeland’.
