The second session of the Armenian-American strategic dialogue will start on September 14, which will summarize the implementation of the agreements reached during the previous session and outline new priorities for cooperation. This was reported by the Armenian Embassy in the United States.
Due to the coronavirus pamdemic, the session will be held in a remote format with the participation of senior officials of the RA and US, a number of meetings will be held.
The Armenian-American strategic dialogue started in 2019, during the first sitting held in Yerevan in May. Issues related to cooperation on reforms and promotion of common democratic values were discussed during the strategic dialogue.
Reference was made to global and regional security, cooperation in law enforcement area, as well as US assistance to Armenia aimed at supporting reforms in Armenia. During the first session of the strategic dialogue, the parties also highlighted the promotion of bilateral economic, scientific and cultural ties, the activation of contacts between people.
