We are happy to present to you the working version of the book on the history of Public TV Company (1956-2016), anticipating your active participation in constantly replenishing its electronic version.
The given book is being released on the occasion of 60th anniversary of Public TV Company, aimed at summing up its history from the day of establishment to nowadays. This is also a way of paying tribute to TV founders, staff and generations.
Since the book is an academic one and can be viewed as a unique encyclopedia of Armenian television, we would kindly ask each of you, who make part of Public TV’s history, to fill in the gap that you consider to be important, yet has not been included in the book.
Public TV has formed an author group, among them Lilik Stepanyan (team leader-coordinator), Levon Galstyan, Margarita Grigoryan and Marat Ordyan. The source study was carried out by employees of National Archive, among them Emma Hovsepyan and Marine Martirosyan. The group studied the archived material of Public TV over the 60 years of its establishment, as well as conducted almost 120 interviews, as a result of which gathering complete information. As there is an immense number of employees, who have provided long-term contribution to Public TV, however, currently live abroad, or those who work in mass media or different organizations, we do hope our proposal will be a pleasant opportunity to them to share with their recollections and fill in the all possible gaps.
The book structure allows to immediately find the time period you would like to make addition to. We greatly appreciate every replenishment on your behalf.
