lham Aliyev has approved amendments to the Constitution of the Nakhijevan Autonomous Republic.
The document provides for the introduction of two new articles into the Constitution of the Autonomous Republic, as well as amendments to several other articles and to the preamble.
In the previous version of the Constitution, it was stated that the foundations of Nakhijevan’s autonomy were fixed in the Treaty of Moscow and the Treaty of Kars in 1921.
In the new version, it is stated that Nakhijevan is an integral part of Azerbaijan.
