The countries of the South Caucasus are sovereign states with the right to build their relations with other countries, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, RIA Novosti reports.
“They are sovereign states, and they have the sovereign right to build their relations with different states. At the same time, we [i.e. Russia] have a huge complex of bilateral relations with both Baku and Yerevan, which cover all possible domains,” the Kremlin spokesperson told reporters.
US Vice President JD Vance paid official visits to Armenia and Azerbaijan during which the parties signed some documents on collaboration.
