“It is very good that Turkey is our—at least economically—largest neighbor in terms of GDP, and we have the opportunity to open the border,” Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan said during his annual wrap-up press conference, addressing the question of under what conditions and when the border with Turkey will be opened.
“I hope that there will be positive and good news on this in the near future,” the Minister said.
It should be recalled that the Margara Bridge is already fully prepared for the opening of the Armenian–Turkish border. All the necessary conditions have been created to fully provide both customs and border services.
