The regular political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran were held in Yerevan, led by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Political Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a readout.
The parties discussed a broad agenda of Armenia-Iran bilateral relations, issues pertaining to regional and international developments. Vahan Kostanyan and Majid Takht Ravanchi praise the active dynamics of cooperation between the two countries, which is also expressed through mutual visits at various levels.
The sides reaffirmed the determination expressed at the level of the leaders of the two countries to elevate relations to the level of strategic partnership.
Thoughts were exchanged on the prospects for the development of cooperation in energy, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, tourism and other areas and the progress of the implementation of specific programs.
Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan touched upon projects aimed at developing regional connectivity, including the new opportunities expected as a result of the implementation of the TRIPP project.
